Second Annual Stakeholders Dinner
TPBA hosted its second annual stakeholders dinner, bringing together partners and supporters including representatives from the FireSafe Council, Yosemite Rivers Alliance, Ebbets Pass Forest Watch, UCANR, retired CAL FIRE leaders, local educators, and foresters. The evening focused on TPBA's year in review, upcoming site burns, and building the regional relationships essential to scaling prescribed fire in the Sierra foothills.
Biochar Kiln Workshop — Camp Earnest
Hands-on flame-cap kiln training offered in two shifts (morning 9am–2pm and afternoon 1pm–6pm). Participants received training in kiln operation, feedstock selection, biochar activation and soil application. Free and open to landowners, ranchers, farmers, and fire practitioners at all experience levels.
Burn Raising — TPBA Turns One!
TPBA's first birthday celebration — a live pile burn and biochar kiln demonstration followed by music, food, and community gathering. Modeled on the tradition of community barn raisings, neighbors showed up to work the fire together and celebrate a year of landowner-led stewardship in Tuolumne County.

Across the first half of 2026, TPBA conducted site visits, trainings, burns, and regional events as part of our WRTC RFFC subaward activities.
2025 Activity Summary
TPBA's first full year of organized activity. In addition to our regular burns and trainings, we hosted the Stakeholders Dinner, Regional PBA Leaders Summit, and the Good Fire Tour, and attended a Cultural Burn at Chicken Ranch Rancheria.
